Lighting

Lighting is the difference between making your house looking like the playboy mansion, and the bat cave. Colour is important, lots of people go for sleazy looking red lamps, although most students do this, it just looks tacky. Go more for a blue and purple look (there’s a reason most clubs use these colours), but you don’t need to over do it… subtlety is far more attractive than in your face. So stick with normal white bulbs around the house for the majority.

Keep the intensity down, you want it light enough that they can walk around without creating a domino effect, but dark enough that they cant see that the girl they’re trying to pull has a moustache. Try getting floor lamps which can be got from a variety of places for about a fiver, alternatively get lower wattage bulbs.
